What is a Football Pre Academy ?
The Football Pre Academy s the final tier in the development structure before the actual Academy. Its aim is to prepare players to play Academy football by replicating the coaching syllabus and methods used. In addition the coaches who work with the Academy teams also coach the Pre-Academy teams to ease the transition for players.
How often do players train at the Football Pre Academy ?
Twice possibly three times a week, players continue to play and train with their club sides.
How do I get selected for a professional or semi professional Football Pre Academy Centre?
By impressing at a Football Centre of Excellence, which is the academy tier before this Football Pre Academy. It would be unusual for a player to go straight to a pre Academy if not been to a centre of excellence or released by a pro club. All Pre Academy players come through the centre of excellence, all is dependant on the time frame you are at the Centre Of Excellence.
Do players play for the Football Pre Academy?
Yes, there are around 8 to 14 games per season, mainly during school holidays.
Where is it held?
There are a number of Football Pre Academy centre's. These are based at various location throughout the UK and normally associated with a Football Club, although some clubs have a slightly different structure from others.
Who are the coaches?
