The Norwich City FC Football & Education Scholarship
Programme in partnership with Bishop Laney Sixth
Form in Ely, is an exciting opportunity for young people
between the ages of 16-18 to continue their
academic, footballing and career development through
Norwich City Football Club.
The programme provides the chance for players to
combine an intensive football training and fixture
programme with a BTEC Extended Diploma in
Sport & Exercise Science, over a two-year period.
The equivalent of 3 A levels.
The programme now delivers a Level 2 Public Services
course which will be delivered as a one year course
leading into the Level 3 Extended Diploma for those
that achieve the grades.
Within the Extended Diploma, students will study a
variety of areas within sport including, Nutrition, Coaching,
History, Business & Sports Massage, aswell as a number of other units.
A daily training programme is in place, working with UEFA B
Licensed coaches for 6-8 hours a week.
Students will represent Norwich City FC in the English
College League and Cup competitions, aswell as playing
regular Futsal events with partner schemes at the
Community Sports Foundation (CSF) in Norfolk.
Students who enrol on the course rescieve full training kit
(at cost) and will be treated as a professional.
As part of this course, further tours, coaching opportunities
and individual target planning will be provided.

Conditional Scholarship
- BTEC First in Public Services Level 2
- GCSE Maths, English and ECDL ICT
- 4 GCSEs at grade D including English Language and Maths
- One year in the first instance
Exit Routes Include
- Progression onto Full Scholarship Programme*
- Professional & Semi-Professional Football
- Coaching routes
- Apprenticeship/career in sport/leisure industry
