RONALDO STYLE FREE KICK, LIGHTS UP TONY'S SOCCER SCHOOL

Little Ronaldo, Adam Pritchard scored a wonder goal for Mil Palmeras from a free kick Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid would of been proud off. Here are Tony's Soccer School write ups for this week.

    Bigastro 6 v 6 Mil Palmeras u10's.

    Team sponsor.www.DGCpropertyservices.com

Third place Mil Palmeras Benjamin's played 4th place Bigastro in a must not lose match for both sides. In a back and forth match Mil Palmeras got their noses in front from a high ball from Ben Naylor that bounced over the keeper only for Bigastro to get one back. After some solid defending at the back from Ruben Breeze Bailey Tomlinson and Cai Harding, Luke Naylor broke down the right and crossed the ball for another great finish making it 2-1 at half time.

Second half we got off to a flying start and played some great passing football creating 2 goals in the first 4 minutes, crossing for Luke to finish then Oliver Godden putting a ball though for yet another finish. Bigastro come back scoring 4 goals in 8 minutes to lead 5-4 . With Luca Webb pulling there defence out of position Ben Naylor ran through to pull us level. The last 10 minutes was a straight battle of wills with both sides working hard Bigastro managed to score taking the lead again but we never gave up. Some solid football from the whole team finally paid off to level the score.

Final score 6-6 and a well earned point for both sides that keeps the gap at 5 points to Mil Palmeras. Well Done to all players! ! Goal assists Oliver Godden , Player of the Match Ben & Luke Naylor and Bailey Tomlinson from Torremendo. Roll on next week.

    Algorfa 2 v 11 Mil Palmeras u7's

Team Sponsor San Miguel Martinez Ford Garage.

Title chasing Mil Palmers Under 7's were just too strong for Algorfa. Although Algorfa scored first it became obvious Mil Palmeras would prove too strong in the end. Half time Mil Palmeras were 7-1 up, with Taylor Hirst playing well in defence, Orlando Breeze started well in goal, David Milton Stamm scored 4 with the best from 30 yards. Alfred Emmett scored 6 goals with the best being a solo effort and run from his own half. Kevin Ruiz scored another to add to his tally which see Mil Palmeras win 11-2 in the end, and keep the title chase alive. Well Done all to keep the heat on the title chase.

    Mil Palmeras A u12's 3 v 3 Redovan A

Team sponsor, Cash in the attic, Playa Flamenca, buy and sell anything, costa blanca spain.

Mil Palmeras started slowly against Redovan A who are a team in a similar league place and ability in the Vega Baja A league. Redovan scored 2 goals against the run of play, and meant Mil Palmeras were always chasing this game. In truth Mil Palmeras were the better side but just couldn't put the ball in the net. Harvey Worthington scored low into the corner making it 2-1 to Redovan at the break. The next goal was key and came through an own goal making it 3-1 to Redovan.

Mil Palmeras threw everything and Jake Scott scored from Kai Pickford cross. This set up a thrilling end to a game which left Jamie Macdonald to hit the post, the pressure was mounting and a tired Lewis Long popped up with a thunderbolt to grab a deserved point for Mil Palmeras from outside the area. Player of the Match Jamie Macdonald. George Johnson assured in defence, Lucy Daly played well when needed, Sam Halliday played through the pain barrier. Well done in a thrilling match.

La Aparecida Pre Benjamin 7 v 3 Mil Palmeras u8's.

    Team Sponsor: Lesonja's Boarding Kennels.

Mil Palmeras had to make changes to there normal team with AJ playing in an unfamiliar role of central midfield with William Clayton playing up front. The home team opened the scoring only for AJ to level the scores, then the home team quickly added to there tally going in at Half Time 6-1 up. Mil Palmeras could not get in to there normal fluent passing game possibly down to the small La Aparecida pitch.

Second half was much better and full credit to the players in trying to pull this game back, introduction of Alfred Emmett on the left gave David Milton Stamm the opportunity to knock in a further... 2 goals, shots again by Alfred, David and AJ all flew past the post. The defence looked calmer with Diego Sheffield commanding his area like a general, Paulo Webb and Tiandra Anderson grew in confidence as the team improved but the home team added a 7th goal. Final Score La Aparecida 7 Mil Palmeras 3.
Player of the Match Alfred Emmett

    Mil Palmeras B 1 v 8 Benferri Pre Benjamin A

    Team Sponsor The Abbey Tavern

The highlight of this game was a fantastic Ronaldo style free kick from Adam Pritchard for Mil Palmeras, Kevin Ruiz and Jorge Cambell played well in midfield with crunching tackles. Captain Ryan Hughes run all over the pitch and worked hard, Jed Campbell played well in goal first half and Taylor Hirst was assured playing out from defence. A well supported team full of energy see Enrique Khomenko win Player of the match award. A genuinely lovely effort from a great spirited team Orlando Breeze run his heart out up front well done against League title chasers CF Benferri.

    Mil Palmeras B 1 v 6 CF Bigastro Alevins A

    Team Sponsor: CAMFIX UK.

Early start for this Mil Palmeras B match with Bigastro bringing their Top of the Table Team to face an ever improving Mil Palmeras. The Game was an excellent advert for Football played in this age group, with both teams set up for an open attacking game and what a game it was. A strong back line of George Johnson, Paige Pickford and Kai Pickford, utilising Emily Niamh Kelly in a role just behind the Strikers the home team created some good early chances for the hard working forwards Connor Hirst, Morgan Earl and Oliver Chapman.

Unable to make the Most of their possession the home team were caught out in quick succession by CF Bigastro who got stronger as the game moved on, taking a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. With Lucy Daly putting up the Shutters with two excellent saves, Captain Emily Kelly took up the initiative, making the most of good running and positional play by Connor Hirst, beating two players before unleashing a lovely strike beyond the flaying arms of the Goalkeeper to take the team back into the game.

Conceding another goal just before half time did not set the home side back as they came out for the second half determined to stay in the match. With Player of the Match Morgan Earl, having to revert to fullback, slotting into his unfamiliar role with aplomb and pushing Paige Pickfod forward, the changes almost paid dividends as Paige Pickford on a run at goal struck a sweet shot which flew past the Goalie, just the wrong side of the post. Oliver Chapman and a determined Connor also came close, but with time running out and tired legs slowing the home team down, Bigastro made whole sale changes (8 new players on the pitch at one stage!) To take control in the last few minutes to secure the Win.

Coaches Alan and Richie, felt the team deserved so much more for there confident passing football and hardworking performance.
